All I really want to do in my life is adopt a child in need. I think I would like to help a child from India. Do you have any experience with this?
Are there any links to specific adoption agencies in India?

We adopted in 1993 from India. We dealt directly with the Missionaries of Charity Orphanage in Delhi since we were temporarily living in India at the time. We had also spoken with the Church of North India orphanage, also in Delhi.
All foreign adoptions must go through a specific process and you can find the details at the link below. Check the "Adoption Procedures" and "Inter Country" links for the info you need. |

That's a noble aspiration. I want to adopt one day too and raise the child to know the we have an awesome loving God. It is amazing the ability that one has to so greatly give a child a life full of love and hope. I don't know anyone who has adopted from India. But, I do have a heart for India. So many children there live in extreme poverty. I also have a particle heart for the 'untouchables' - the victims of a terrible social stigma that has left them uneducated and in poverty. This is a great question, my husband and I also wanted to adopt from India but when we spoke with the adoption agency they told us there wasn't a large demand of children available in India. My husband and I were disappointed because we are partial to the Indian culture. If you find a good lead into Indian adoptions please keep us informed, I would love to know!
