I heard talk that the kids would be provided an education. Their parents weren't mentioned, but the kids were supposed to wind up in a boarding school paid for by the film people.

What happened to that?

Yes, selling your kid is criminal, insane, outrageous, but for a wealthy film crew to use those kids then toss them back into the slums when they were done making a movie (especially that particular movie) is also criminal, insane, outrageous...

When you consider the money that movie made.
When you consider the subject matter of the movie.

It's the FILM PEOPLE that need to be taken out and beaten! They know better. They USED those poor kids. They KNEW what would happen once filming was over.

If the girls father felt he got nothing financially out the movie them why doesn't he take it up withe the people who made the movie for exploting his daughter. Yet it looks it not beyond her own to exploit her himself for money so it makes ho no better than the film crew. I feel very sorry for her, and I hope the right people step in and save her from being sold like a slave.

It's a shame. Selling your famous child's in order to provide for your other children, wife and yourself. He should have spent the 150,000 rupees he received to buy a better place to leave, he used to buy a cell phone and pay his medical bills.

The film company should or is giving her a living allowance and has a trust fund for her education.

Greed, IDK what else to say. He didn't think about doing so until a wealthy person offered him money to adopt her. Shameful.
