Hi if you have or still are a male foster care worker it would be great to here from you also is there any good foster care forums out there could you let me know. And just so people dont judge i am already a father and do a great job and i have looked into this for several years, and feel i have alot to offer a child in need.

Hi, I'm obviously not a male but my husband has been fostering with me for 12+ years and he loves it as I do. I just wanted to say that I think it's great you're looking into fostering, there are actually certain situations where they prefer to place a child with either a single female or male foster parent. So definitely go for it if you're interested and good luck to you!
Your first point of contact would be a call to your district or county child protection authority. They can give you all the information necessary to further research and go ahead. |

i had a single male foster carer from the age of 16-18 when i moved out into my own place, i still get on great with him and to be honest he did a better job than a lot of couples i had during my time in care!! u should definatly do it if u have what u think u need to provide :) good luck xx |
