I'm speechless - what a great idea! How come nobody has done this yet?! You should call an agency and get a "Birth" mother packet! I still have the one that the agency who handled my adoption sent - I'll have to dig it out and report back. They even included a copy of the "Dear "Birth"mother, Thank You for Our Baby" book. They also "took the liberty" of sending me 169 "Dear "Birth"mother" letters based on the information they had about me! (I might still have those too!)
I gotta do some digging...
Andraya, lemme know if you're serious - 'cause I want in and if not, I am already forming a plan...

Well I havent seen a video but I could personally tell you from experience. Me and my husband were really young, 15 and 17 when we had our first child. Then four months later I got pregnant again and had a second. We tried our hardest to take care of our kids but couldn't and decided on adoption. It didnt help that we were in Florida away from our family and had no clue how to get in contact with them or where they were at due to my fathers ex- wife. My ex step mother. So we had to do what was best for them. She was abusive, tried killing my son by suffocation, beat me when I was pregnant and even tried making me drink bleach while I was pregnant. She also talked about poisoning our kids. Then she wanted to adopt them. We were working and going to school full time as well. My son was nine months old when he was adopted and our daughter was adopted at birth by the same family. It was the hardest thing that we could have ever done, but had to do what was best for them. We were so afraid that she was going to harm them or even end up killing them. They were adopted through a private adoption agency. Madonna M. Finney and you can look it up. We did an open adoption and still are involved, it was the best thing we could have ever possibly done for them. The people there were very nice, they made sure before we did this if this is what we wanted and even offered to pay anything we needed. We met the parents and they even went to doctors appointments and were at the birth of our daughter. Although my husband wasnt because my ex step mother had kicked him out and he lived at homeless shelter for a while at the age of 16 then a friend let him move in while he worked. After my dad and his ex wife divorced (my ex step mother) me and my husband got back together. We started seeing each other again all because I had to go and find him to sighn the adoption papers. We are now living in Texas with my family and no longer in Florida. My ex step mother continues to harass us and split us up. Both of our families now know hte truth and we are in contact with them again and very supportive of us. We are having our third child due in August 2008 and naming her Autumn. Also the adoptive parents of our two other children still continue to stay in contact with us, sending us letters and pcitures. The kids will probably even get to meet their new little sister. The adoption agency people have all made this possible by sending the mail for us, calling us still, offering us help and counselling and it has allready been about year since the adoption. Our son Noah turned 2 on june 5 and our daughter Danielle turned 1 one june 8. It really isn't as bad as people make it out to seem. But of course it could all be each individuals experience and what agency you go with. But I have been there, this was my experience and it took everyone including the adoption agency to make this possibel. The way I look at it is Adoption is an Option and Abortion is Out of Proportion. |
