How many adoptees are in reunion with BOTH their bmom and bdad?

How many adoptees are in reunion with BOTH their bmom and bdad?

regardless of who searched for who -- how many are in reunion with both?

I guess this kind of goes along with my other question re: bdads sticking around to which I was honestly surprised by the answers and appreciate people sharing their stories.

Granted, this kind of piggy backs on another ? about bdads searching but I'm wondering, regardless of who searched, how many adoptees are in reunion with both sides of the family?

my bparents searched for me and i'm in reunion with both...

I met my 1st mom, then 3 years later located & contacted my birth father. I called him to ask for a medical history. He immediately said, "I'd like to meet you!" I was surprised. I didn't think he'd want to meet me b/c of the story I'd heard surrounding my conception.

Time has a way of bending people's memories. My 1st mom remembered him denying she was pregnant by him. Yet she forgot that he asked her to marry him. When reminded, she said she didn't want him to marry her because she was pregnant.

Now the best part of all of this...both my bio parents ended up living in So. Cal. by the time I found them, which is where I grew up. My b.dad wanted to see my b.mom. Eventually I gave her his number, they got in contact & ended up going out on a date some 30+ years later! LOL! They remained friends for the rest of their lives. Both have since passed away.

One day while visiting my birth father & his brother (my uncle) we called my 1st mom, who was at my 1/2 sister's nearby home. We all got together there. I have a photo of me, my b.mom & b.dad, an uncle, 1/2 sister & bro in law, niece, nephew & my 2 kids. WOW! That's one photo I never imagined having in a million years!

PS I'm still in regular contact with 2 sisters (& 1 sister's family) on my dad's side. And my adopted siblings, of course. =D

My parents married 6 months after my birth - they're still together.

My mother can't handle contact.
She was told to never talk about me after she relinquished - and hasn't really ever dealt with the losses or the heartbreak involved. (her mother sent her to another state to have me - and she was told to never come home with 'that' baby - me)

I'm secretly in contact with my father behind her back.(he initiated contact after I found them - as he thought it was the 'right' thing to do)

I'm not 'allowed' to have contact with anyone else - as it will 'upset' her too much.

She won't tell me who he is/was. I do know she was seeing the man she later married at the same time as him. She's divorced now.

I'm not currently in reunion with either of them.

It took 20 years' searching to find Mom with very little info.

I had no info about my father. Now I have his name and everything (from Mom) and I still can't find him!

Lots of Aunts Uncles and Cousins on Mom's side have been in touch though, which is nice.

Since I don't think she will be her to answer for herself. My daughter is in reunion with both her father and I. Her and I found him in 2007.

I'm in reunion with both. I'm in closer contact with my dad's family, though. My mother was put through a horrible ordeal, and there are days she has problems with the stress. For the most part, I let her contact me. My children and I have become members of my dad's family, though. If I needed something, I could call him at midnight. We're close.
