How many people are turned down when trying to adopt? HELP ME?

Does anyone know a good website that has this answer, or if you know it? If you have statistics on this, i will greatly appreciate it. As well as how many kids are adopted and left unadopted yearly, preferably in Florida. Thank You.

I doubt there are many people who are turned down who want to adopt.

Perhaps you should mention, however, the MILLIONS of adoptees who are turned down when they try to get their original birth certificates and adoption records, though.

All those "poor, unwanted babies" grow up and are suddenly treated like garbage by the very government, adoption agencies and people who put us in this situation in the first place.

I don't believe there are stats on how many people are denied the chance to adopt, or at least I haven't seen any.

There are different rules for different venues, i.e. there are stricter rules for adopting internationally and those rules are developed by the country you are adopting from.

However, as you mentioned Florida, I assume you are adopting in-country. Some standard qualification requirements are: no criminal record; stable financial position; emotional and physically healthy, just to name a few.

You should contact a adoption agency or social worker who can give you specific details.

if you have money you can usually adopt

if you mean public foster care, if you don't want to foster first, they turn away a lot of people from just adoption

A social worker at the hospital where our adopted son was born told me that 70% of mothers who have talked about doing private adoption end up changing their minds.

I've had several women that I've talked to about adoption, and it's ended up with them keeping their child. Not once have I actually talked with anyone who's started to work with me, and then place their child with someone else.

Almost no newborns go unadopted in the US, unless they have very severe health problems, which retain them in hospitals, where they often end up wards of the state, and in specialized foster care homes.
