How many percent of adopted children adopted from birth know they are adopted eventually?

How many percent of adopted children adopted from birth know they are adopted eventually?

Is it different in different countries? How many find out when they are still children? How many find out after they are adults? How many never find out?
Additional Details
Thanks for your answers so far but that wasn't really my question. I don't want individual cases, though it's nice to hear.

Just out of all adoptions how many children find out while still children, how many later, how many never find out. And whether it's different in different countries.

How would we know how many never found out, if they never found out?? Lol.

The majority of adoptees "have just always known", meaning their ap's told them before they were even old enough to understand. That's the way it SHOULD be.

It is their truth, and to withhold that info is child abuse. This website may be able to give you some ideas on how many older/late discovery adoptees there are.

Google it for statistics. though I don't know if you will find an accurate answer.

I can't give you exact figures but generally most adoptees know they're adopted at some point whether they are told straight away, told at an age that the aparents think they will understand or during a family argument. (I know of someone who was told on her 16 birthday during an argument with her adad). Some find out after their aparents die or find paperwork and some go through life without ever knowing.

I had an idea as my adoptive family was polish. They all had blonde hair and blue eyes or green eyes. I am really dark haired and brown eyed. I started guessing at about 12 years old. My mother told me when I was 13 that I in fact was adopted.

Parents should tell their kids. Even though it won't change anything, why not? (I know that didn't answer your question! Sorry!) Besides, if you grow up knowing it won't come as such a blow if you tell them when they're older. Then they might wonder what other secrets you've been keeping from them.

My sister knew from the time she could walk. my mom made it a big deal how she got to pick her little girl and how glad she was that she could because then she never would have gotten someone as special as my sister. I think that is the best way to do it that way its never a shock or a bad thing. I was not adopted nor were my brothers. My sister has a thing my mom made her that says "never doubt even for a minute that you didn't grow under my heart but in it."

EDIT: i dont know how you can find statistics on this, at least the "never found out" ones as how can that be tracked?
