please don't write me saying that i shouldn't be in it for the money i have a job i just want to know that i will be able to support the child and my own daughter?

Thank you for looking into becoming a foster parent. I don't blame you for asking this question as a child could arrive at any moment with zero clothing, formula, diapers, essentials, etc. It's a valid question but you should look up your county's FC website and I'm sure you'll see a bit more on there; if nothing else, call and ask.
however, make sure you check with your employer to make sure they are supportive of this decision as well. If a child arrives at 1:30 in the morning, you may have to call in the next day due to lack of sleep and taking the time necessary to get him/her comfortable around your home, arranging to get him into school nearby, daycare, etc. I suggest setting up your account right away after being approved as a FP but you'll still spend a day getting everything in order for your new buddy.
Start hitting garage sales, clearance sales, etc and getting clothing for boys and girls in various sizes.
Gather up coupons and find sales on diapers and formula and stock up.
Join a foster care support group ahead of time so that you can be *somewhat* prepared for the challenges you may face.
Talk to your significant other to ensure they are inboard with this -- even if he/she doesn't live with you.
Make sure your family is A-OK with this because your foster child will be attending family events with you.
