Well, there are two things you want to do first. One is to sign up with the International Soundex Reunion Registry at isrr.net. It is completely free. They are the largest reunion registry in the world, and will help match you.

The other is get get your non-identifying information (non-id) OR your original birth certificate (OBC,) depending on the state in which you were adopted. Some states will give you your original birth certificate. Other states will not, so you need to apply for you non-id.

In which state was your adoption finalized? It makes a big difference. Some states also have reunion registries of their own, while others have other means of facilitating reunion.

Still Me
Yes! Go to Adoption Soundex Reunion and register.there. Also, google "adoption angels" to find volunteers who will search for FREE for you! Many are highly experienced, very dedicated individuals who will work tirelessly to help adoptees or birth parents or adoptive parents to search for birth relatives. Good luck.
