I'm not sure exactly what requirements go into this sort of thing, but perhaps you should start by contacting your state's department of social services. They could probably lead you in the right direction as far as requirements, licensure, etc. Good luck. |

You would need at least a master's degree in social work or psychiatric social work, raise funds, buy a suitable building and outfit, and get licensed.
Do you have the requisite degrees and money to get licensure? From your post you do not appear to appear to be sufficiently well educated to do this sort of thing. |

probably do need a master's degree. But their is no way you can open squat if you don't have a foster parent license and those take a lot of training hours and other requirements. You will need to have at least some psychology experience or degree before you can really do anything like that now days.
But I say GO FOR IT!!! look up Clare Hale, she almost did the same thing you want to do back in the 60s and 70s
