I am looking for my birth Mother...?
Find answers to your legal question.

I am looking for my birth Mother...?

Her name is Rebecca Lynn Reed (4/28/59) she was born in PA, she has a daughter also named Rebecca Jericho Soogrim or perhaps Reed born (6/11/94) in San Diego county. I hired an investigator and she was unable to find my birth mother because she claimed "she flies under the radar". It's upsetting because it's been a year since I paid her to find my birth mother and I haven't gotten anywhere and now the woman is on a show reuniting people with their loved ones! Crazy huh?
I've been looking and haven't gotten anywhere, went on myspace, put an ad in the San Diego Union Tribune ( she lived in the Oceanside/ Vista area of San Diego Ca a long time ago) and nothing. Can someone please help me? Zaba Search didn't help, neither did people finder....

OK, according to the California birth index, your sister was named Soogrim and not Reed.

Rebecca Jericho Soogrim
Birth Date: 11 Jun 1994
Gender: Female
Mother's Maiden Name: Reed
Birth County: San Diego

I also ran an Intellius report on your mother's. name. It has 150 results, although many can be eliminated because of the wrong birth date.

There are a number a results, however, that have no birth date, but could otherwise match her.

Since I've run the report, I'd be glad to email you the results. Because of the layout of the report, however, the only way to keep it very readable was to put it in a Word document, so I'll need to email it to you in a manner than allows attachments. Sorry about that.

If you want the report, just email me through the Y!A system and give me an email address where I can send it. If you're not comfy giving your 'real' email address, just create an email address through Yahoo or Hotmail specifically for our transaction so you don't have to give me your 'real' one.

Hopefully, one of these women is she!

ETA:
Got your email and sent you the report. Good luck to you!!

I wish you the very best.

Keep in mind, whenever you call someone, that they may be someway related. Do you know where she went to school? You could maybe call the male classmates and ask if they know her. I say male, because they aren't going to change their name when they get married. Write down anything and everything when calling and talking to people. You may be able to connect the dots.

Do you have an old address? Talk to the neighbors.

Have you registered in the state specific registry where you were born and the ISRR? Did you look in public records? (many are online)

I've sent you a private message.

I just found my Mom after 19 years of searching and she was over the moon. Don't let anyone question your motives or tell you your mom doesn't want to be found, I bought into that for years and it couldn't be further from the truth - we are so so happy to be in each others lives again.

Obviously your investigator does not have the resources to do the job. There are people out there who do. Never give up.

I would type "adoption search registry" into google and register yourself on as many of those sites as possible. I found my birthmother through a site like that.

However, you also have to consider that it is possible that your birthmother is not doing well or might not be interested in being found. There is only so much that you can do to find her and while I hope you do, sometimes it brings disappointment and regret.

I wish you luck. Try not to get too frustrated with the search. If you are meant to find eachother again you will.

ttc after mc
I went to www.whitepages.com and typed in "Rebecca Reed" and found a Rebecca L. Reed living in California:

Reed, Rebecca L
2357 County Rd S
Willows, CA 95988-9655
(530) 934-6862

There were numerous other Rebecca Reeds. You could always try and contact every one and see if you get a response. When I googled her name the first thing that came up was your question here on yahoo. So keep it in mind that she could always google her name and see that you're looking for her.

Sadly, you should try to understand that she may not want to be found out of embarrassment, sadness, or anger over what happened in the past. Maybe she's embarrassed that she gave you up or that you were taken from her or the whole situation brings up a lot of bad feelings from her past. As excited you are to find your mother, try to understand that she may not want to be found - try to be prepared for if that happens.

Good luck to you... I hope you are happily reunited with your birth mother and find joy in your life.

Have you tried the red cross? How about talk shows? I really want for you to find your birth mother. Good luck in finding her and hope your adoptive family is okay with this. Good luck and God Bless you! Hope you find her.

captn_carrot
Red Cross and many other agencies like Church of Latter Day Saints will help you find your blood family for free or minimal fee. However, if your looking for an old boyfriend, forget it. Must be immediate family or like grandparents.
