Not sure where you are (I'm assuming you're in the USA) - but below are a few places to start.
Also - get in touch with the adoption agency you used (if they are still around) and make sure you have a letter on file to release information to your daughter if she comes looking there.

First - add your details to the registries here
http://www.isrr.net/
http://registry.adoption.com/

Check here for information on your state records -
http://adopteerights.net/
(click on the page marked 'Searchers' down the left hand side)

Check here for search help - and links to free search angels -
http://www.adoptioncrossroads.org/

All the very best with your search.

ETA: there are MANY places you can go where you don't have to pay - only pay someone if it's your absolute LAST resort.
Check out the links I gave you.

sorry you got some dorky answers.

try issr and also, depending on your state, there are free search angels you can use. i am a search angel for NY and georgia.

Yeah, you really are getting some dorky answers, but check out Possum's links, and the agency you placed with.

Unfortunately, this is part of the adoption "game". They make money off of placing our children with other people, and then they continue to make money from us and from our children when we try to reconnect. Money, money, money - it's the name of the adoption game. Go for the search angels.

Good luck, I bet he's been wondering about you for a long time too!

I found the baby I gave up for adoption 18 years ago on myspace. She agreed to let me be her "friend" on myspace & learn about her but she isn't ready for a relationship yet. If you know her name try there, good luck. ;)

you do not deserve to see her. YOU gave her up after all, didnt you? Leave her alone and if she wants to see you she will find you. If you must, contact her adoptive parents and ask them to ASK her if she wants to see you. Face the fact, she might not want to meet you.

Come on, if you really wanted to see her, you'd pay.

You can start w/the agency you delt w/18 yrs. ago. Social Services, a privet agancy? Ask for any records pertaining to court dates/hearings. Court records (found in libraries or courts) are open to the public. Also, was there a laywer used? Contact them for any info. I used these exact routes and was able to locate my biological father. But, laws are different depending on how it was handled, so you may not be able to get anywhere. Also, she may not be interested in meeting you...it can be very touchy and disruptive for some people, so just be prepared. good luck.

No, its going to cost you money. Its not easy to just track someone dovvn, you are probably going to spend alot in the end if you really vvant to find her. Or call dr phil and see if he can search for her. But nothing in this vvould is free, and if you really vvant to find her your going to have to pay.

if you really want to find your daughter then money should not be an issue you should do it no matter how much it costs.

Try Myspace and Facebook if you know her name and where she lives.

Or else try a police station.

If you really want to see her, is $20... $30.... $100 really that much to ask?

Guess it depends on what price you put on seeing her.

Try going to a police station. That's how i found my father. I took a plane to New Jersey and went to a police station and told them my name, who I was looking for and why, then I gave them all my info. Then a few days later they found him. It didn't cost me a penny. Well except for the rental car and the plane ticket lol ^_^
