and was wondering if one day he'd be curious as to were he's is from.
I also was adopted and wondering myself who I am and what where my parents like . I am stable and off drugs for 3 years and did this for him and myself too. I always pray for us one day to be a family again for him to forgive me , I am his spiritual mom .

You are exactly the reason why the current adoption process is so wrong and needs amending. It took less than a year for you to come off drugs and be able to provide for your son. Yet you are being punished for mistakes in your past.
I hope your son finds you one day and understands the reasons behind your choices.
It took me 36 years to pluck up the courage to find my birth mum and am glad that I did it. We dont/cant have a mum son relationship but we do have mutual respect and a genuine like of each other.

Congrats on your sobriety!! It's a hard thing to do, and you should be proud of yourself.
Yes. Your son will always be curious about you and the rest of his first family. No matter what the reasons for his adoption, he will always care about you.
I am adopted, and never felt the need to forgive my first Mom. She did what she was told and thought it was the best thing at the time.
There are many good search sites for you to register with for finding your own first Mom, and can also register yourself, so when he searches for you, it will be easier.

i'm sorry you are hurting...and i'm very happy you are sober. regarding your son, i'm not sure. but, from what i've learned from adult adoptees and fmothers is that the likelihood is high that at some point he will want to know you. just be honest with him, and keep your expectations realistic.

awww its good you got urself together, you can still have a relationship with him although i think taking him back fully would be unfair to the adoptive parents for im sure they have grown very close to him as if he were their own. |

i'm adopted and just recently i asked about my birth mom
my adoptive mom told me a few things and said when i'm older i could find out more
but every time my birthday comes around my mom tells me that 4 people are praying for me on that day i was born

i think its great you pulled yourself up i hope one day you will see him again and be a family together.

Hugs to you for being to improve your life not just for your son but for yourself as well which is equally important. Nobody can give you a completely honest answer as they're not your son so the best one I can give is he probably will be.
