It's confusing. Well I look alot like my dad but my mom i don't. My mom has pictures when she was in the hospital giving birth to me and all but it's possible that baby could of been another baby. I know i sound paranoid but i want to know the truth. Even if it's true i wouldn't be mad. Tell me what you think?

Talk to your parents and tell them what you are feeling.Open up and just tell them everything you are feeling. I bet if you are adopted they will tell you. |

If you look a lot like your dad, then you are likely not adopted or switched. I don't look anything like my mom, but I look a lot like my dad. My brother doesn't look like either of my parents but is the spitting image of a great-grandparent.
If it bothers you, you can resolve it once you are 18. There are online places where you could have DNA done and they will do forensic studies for about $100 more (just ask them what they need). That way, you don't even have to tell your parents that you are checking.
One of my quilting friends found out about 4 years ago that she was illegally adopted as an infant. It was the availability of doing DNA online that proved this doubt that she had had for so long. Unlike most illegally adopted adults, she was able to find her birth family. Another crafting friend suspected she might be adopted, but the dna testing proved that, in fact, her parents were her parents. |
