I lost my one child of 17 few months back. Need to adopt a child. Is there any organization to help us now?

If one of your children has died, I am so sorry.

I don't want to be insensitive, but you will have a hard time being approved at this time if this is the case. You need more time to grieve the loss of your child.

No one "needs" to adopt a child, and no adoptee will ever replace a child their parents cannot conceive because of infertility, nor will they replace a child who has died. An adoptee will also not make their parents "feel better" about their losses. Adoption is about finding homes for children who need homes. That should be the only need in adoption.
You are grieving. Adoptees are also grieving the loss of their first Mother. It is not fair to put them into a home where there is additional grieving.

so sorry to hear of your loss. But I know of no specific organizations. You have to go thru the adoption process just like everyone else. Although, they may put you thru a bit more 'red tape" seeings how you may still be grieving for a child and they will want to make sure you are ready to adopt and are adopting for the right reasons.

I have to agree with most of the others. You need time to grieve and the fact that you say you "need to adopt a child" only further indicates that. I'd look though at foster parenting or even Big Brothers/Big Sisters. It will provide you with a connection to children while at the same time allowing you the time and freedom to deal with your loss.

Children waiting for adoptive homes are not for the purpose of being fill ins. I don't mean to sound insensitive either but you should wait until you want a child because you want to do what's best for it, not you.

First and foremost, I am SO sorry that you lost your one child. However, to be perfectly honest, I don't think you would be approved so soon to adopt a child. They would most likely say it is too soon, to adopt. You will never be able to replace your child you lost. This is not to say, that you should never adopt- but I would wait awhile, so that you are not trying to replace a child, with another. I don't want to offend you in any way, but I can tell you that this is what the adoption society/lawyer, would most likely tell you. If they don't, I will- you need to grieve the loss of your child first.

I'm so sorry.

You can't replace one person with another. That's just too much of a burden to put on a child.

You need to go through the grief process. A replacement child won't help with that I'm afraid.

My heart goes out for you. Try being a foster mother. You could give a lot to these children for most of them have been through the mill. Adopting a child is not going to take the pain away. I'll be praying for you and your family.

have you ever considered becoming a foster parent? Honestly it can be frustrating but very very rewarding. Check with your local DHS office

Im so sorry to hear of your loss.

Firstly I would look for around your local area and find services that allow adoption/fostering. Given the fact you have encountered a loss they may question you.

My parents went through a very similar progress and have come out the end, with my elder brother and sister being adopted and myself and younger brother being their own children.

There will always be a light and the end of the tunnel so i wish you luck, and I hope you give a lucky child a home, because it is obvious you are a very loving and caring person.

I would suggest possibly taking foster parenting classes. You have experience parenting a teenage child, and there is such a huge need for foster parents for older/teen children. There are many of these children who are even legally free for adoption right now. I don't agree with the others who have said you aren't emotionally ready to mother another child....that is really only something you will know yourself. You know there is no way to replace your 17 year old child who passed away, and that is not what you are trying to do. You want to be a mother and there are many children who truly need a mother like you. A social worker could really help you talk through your loss and help you decide if this is the right time to open up your heart to another child. I wish you the very best!
