Me n my husband has decided 2 adopt a baby girl n v r now goin 4 it? I hv already prepared my 4 year son for this new arrival in our family. Wat shud i tell him so dat thr is no sibling rivalry?

since he's only 4, the fact that you're adopting isn't much of an issue. and in fact, he's probably excited to have a little sister. just keep the issue exciting (you're gonna be a big brother! you get to teach her everything! you get to help take care of her! she's gonna love you so much!). and let him help with the little stuff. let him pick out a toy for her so he can say it's from her big brother, let him help design her bedroom, maybe even let him help pick out her name. the more he's involved, the more excited he'll be. and make sure to make a big deal out of him being the big brother so that he gets some of the attention too. |

You have nothing to worry about. If you are adopting a baby, there can be no rivalry, at least none that the baby will remember. Your son will have plenty of time to adjust ot the situation while the baby is growing.
Perhaps you should read him this book called "I'll Love You Forever." It was my favorite book when I was young, and I'm sure you and your son will both love it.
