You "need" an adoption agency? What do "need" an adoption agency for? There are children who truly NEED homes, but you don't want one of those kids. So, no sweetie, you do not "need" an adoption agency. And most babies do not "need" to leave their mothers.

The best way to adopt, both price wise and where the need is greatest, is through foster care. That doesn't mean a foster child, what it means is that there are thousands of children...of all ages, waiting for adoption currently staying in foster homes till suitable adoptive homes come available.

If, as you say, the only ages you will take are newborn to two years old then be prepared to wait either years or to pay big bucks for an agency/private/international adoption. Yes, there are infants and those under two waiting in foster care for adoption but the wait is long.

I'm afraid you will either need to adjust your expectations, be prepared to pay or be prepared to wait "in line" for some time till your family is lucky enough to get matched with an infant.

You do realize you are talking about buying a human being right? There is no Costco when it comes to living breathing people. Get a puppy, a boy should not be brought into your house to combat an overload of estrogen.

Try foster to adopt. You don't have to purchase a kid who really needs you, just the custom kids you expect someone to make to order for your family.

Are you for real? Do you really expect some other random woman to supply you with her own flesh and blood (and it better be the right gender and age, too) and you don't like the price? And you think Y!A is the place to ask because the way you add a new member to your family is to ask random strangers on the internet? Reeeeally?

I'd offer you some sites but I'm not sure where you are located. Adoption is very expensive no matter what... but if your family is willing, adoption through a Foster Agency it is free. That's what I have been told. There are babies in Foster Care too. I'd check there.

Adoption is expensive as hell, there isn't really any way around it. Some employers offer financial assistance with adoptions, try looking into that.

try finding a birth mother and do a private adoption. It would probably be cheaper. I would advertise in the paper, hospitals, planned parenthood, near high schools, ect.
