i just wanna know my birth parents names. I thought it said on your birth certificate but when i dug them out there was no names. uhh ive never been curious before but i was just watching Secret Life of the American teenager and Adrian was looking for her birth father.
sooo wheree can i find there names without asking my parents?

i know my birth mothers first name and what hospital i was born.

Sure you, do, hun. Do you know anything about your adoption? My baby book my parents made me had all sorts of info in it, like the adoption agency & court date, etc. They may have gone through a private attorney, too. There's a good chance they do not know the information if your adoption was a closed adoption. But, on the off chance it was open, you may be in luck.
I would say to talk to your parents, but I know it can be difficult, because we are afraid they might be upset. Chances are, they wont be, and have probably been waiting for you to bring it up.
Once you find out her name, there are all sorts of online reunion sites where you can register with your name and date of birth. Many adoptees register without a name, too.

how did you get her first name? did your parents tell you that? if they knew her first name, chances are they know er last name. Even so, that is a good start, having her first name and the hospital, in case you ever want to search. |

If you want to find out on your own, a lot of it depends on what state you live in. Also the states require you to be over 18. You can check the state laws here:

YOUR PARENTS knew that you were going to be curious once you got of age, so just ask them about it?
I know you probably think that that's like betraying them, but it's not they expected this someway or another. Just ask.
No need to hide anything, say mom or dad, do you know the name of my birth parents, because i though it was on the birth certificate but it wasn't. I'm just curious thats all.

you should raelly talk to your parents about this they ma be able to help more than you think i though my mom would be hurt but come to find out she was excited. she was worried about me and didnt want to see me rejected or hurt all over again but then we found my bio mom posted info and wanted to be found i made contact and my adoptive mom was almost as excited as i was already talking about making the trip to meet her when even i hadent got to that part. I didnt feel like they would want it but the suprised me |

Don't try to do this behind your parents' backs. It is nothing you should be unable to share with them, but they will be hurt if you sneak to do it.
Just talk to them and they will help you. |
