Costs do vary but I think on average it costs the adoptee a complete sense of self and shatters the ability to love unconditionally, while depleting the stores of trust. It costs feeling acceptance, and having one's natural abilities and traits modeled.

For the mother of adoption loss it can cost her future fertility, confidence, self-esteem. Sometimes it costs her severe depression and lack of trust in others. There is a toll of resentment her family may bear for not helping her keep her baby.

For the adoptive parents, usually it's just a bunch of money. Oh and some paperwork.

Well, do you realize that raising a child is expensive? Are you really sure you want one? It might be cheaper to support a child in another country...say Africa. Through Children's Christian Fund or a similar organization. You can even get photos, letters, updates from "your child". {{{you may detect a bit of sarcasm}}

There are about 130,000 kids in foster care needing a permanent home. Some are 5 or 4 or 3 years old and younger. These children need & deserve loving homes. And foster adoption isn't the big dollar cost that infant adoption or international adoption can be.

Well, my only experience with tubal reversal is a friend that had 5 ectopic pregnancies afterwards... The monetary costs can vary (hers was expensive as she went out of town to get "the best" and it still didn't work). And even if it ends up working, there is a lot of anxiety, surgical recuperation, likelihood of internal scarring, etc. So, as others have mentioned regarding adoption, there can be emotional "costs" to tubal reversal as well.

And I'm not at ALL discounting emotional reprecussions of adoption -- there are many, for all involved, but especially for adoptees and first parents. But others are more qualified to speak to that side than I, since I'm an adoptive mother.

The cheapest option as far as money goes (and the best option in my rarely humble opinion) would be adopting from foster care. There are a lot of children waiting for homes.

I would like to add that having a tubal and subsequently your own biological child really cannot compare to adopting a child. Adoption is very complicated for all parties envolved and is very different from being pregnant with and giving birth to your own child.
If the cost is your biggest deciding factor, than you should think long and hard about adoption before you go that route. Adopted children are not commodities and just because they may be "cheaper" (even though they probably aren't), you shouldn't adopt based on that.

Both are quite expensive. Adoption depends on who you are trying to adopt. It is VERY difficult to adopt babies in the US and Canada (easier to adopt small children), it costs a minumum of $20,000 to adopt a baby from overseas places such as China.

To reverse a tubal ligation- can be difficult. I don't think it is really expensive, but the operations aren't always successful. I have included a link you can call for more info. You should contact your own doctor about the procedure first.

Ok. Before you make a choice either way, you need to evaluate your feelings about adding a child to your family. I dont know you personally, but I would hate for you to adopt a child, then have issues come up because you still want a child that shares a bloodline with you and your husband.

Decide which option is best for you. Are you comfortable with never having another biological child? Because you do have that option. You can keep your tubes tied and embrace this new journey (and your new child).

Is adopting something you want to do either way? Then go for it, and you can still grow your family with a bio child.

If you really are not sure, I suggest that you wait and think about it.

It can cost a few grand and tubal reversal just like when a man gets a vasectomy reversal does not guarantee a pregnancy. The longer you have had your tubes tied the less change you will have for a pregnancy occurring. not to mention its major surgery.

The cost of adoption depends on what kind of adoption your doing, if your willing to take any baby, what agency you go through. Even though there are also risks like the adoption will fail, in most case in the end you will get a child. That may not be the case with Tubal R. If you adopt from FCS its cheap to cost-free.

i would adopt. there are so many children & foster that need homes & if you get into the system & they like you you can get a infant & adopt them from foster care..my friend has 2 of her 3 that way

It depends on how well the procedure goes and how you adopt a child.
But please, adopt. There are a ton of children out there without homes. And that way your money goes into saving one of them rather than installing a jacuzzi in your doctor's house.

well i would think thaat adopting a child because you could be saving its life and opening new doors for the child and it could be a brand new start! personally i dont know which one is cheaper but i would rather adopt!

Ck to see if your medical insurance covers the procedure...if so, it would be WAY cheaper than adopting.
