It is very dangerous to connect with people on the WEB. Please ignore the post from Sizesmith - something is fishy there. Very coercive situation - BEWARE!!!

I suggest that you consider all of your options before you consider adoption.

Here are some links:

If you feel that you have no other choice than adoption for your child, please contact your department of social services.

I also reported you sizesmith. I did once have some respect for you as an adoptive but that has been lost by your illegal solicitation for human babies.

It is not legal for people to solicit you via the internet or any other means for your baby.

Please read the links Grapesgum has listed for you. Make sure that you know what are getting yourself and your child into before you make any permanent decisions.

PLEASE DO NOT look for adoptive parents on the internet - it is extremely dangerous to both you and your child. Your best bet is to go through your local social services department. (If you want to ensure that no one is making thousands of dollars off of the sale of your child disguised as "fees".)

You need to know that adoption is not a guarantee that your child's life will be "better". Adoptive families have problems too.Adoption only guarantees that your child's life will be "different" than the one he or she would have with you.

Do not be fooled into thinking that "open adoption" is legally enforceable or that you will be guaranteed future contact with your child. It isn't and you aren't. Just so you know.

Oh, and by the way, you should also know that your child's father also needs to give up his rights also or the adoption is a legal risk for the adopting family and can be challenged by the child's father.

Good luck to you and your child. I hope whatever decision you make is well thought out and based on truthful and thorough knowledge of your choices and their possible consequences for both you and your child because both of you will have to live with it for the rest of your lives.

It's not as simple as selling a puppy in the newspaper. You need to go through an accredited agency or the local government.

Whether it is your intent or not, It is very likely that you could be arrested for selling your baby if you advertise on an internet website. Ask your doctor and local hospital for the social services in your area that will help you legally give your baby up for adoption. These agencies have interviewed couples that will (most probably) give your baby a good home. But, you cannot sell your baby.

So are you going to give it up like a pet dog or cat? Go to a Govt. agency that deals with people that get pregnant before they are ready.

Adoption is a big decision. Thank about it carefully.

You don't need a website, besides it might attract the wrong type of people. You can use an agency or look at ads in the paper. You want someone who would be good parents also if you are thinking about an open adoption you want someone you like. You may be having a life-long relationship with the couple you choose.

Be careful and make sure you don't get pushed into anything you don't want to do. Things can work out well but you need to choose carefully.

Take care and good luck.

You cant really just advertise that you are giving your baby away. Look online at a local adoption agency and schedule and apointment with them and tell them what you are wanting to do. they will set you up and help you fill out alll the paperwork and stuff.

durdenslabs
That is illegal!!!!

You need to contact child protective services or your local/state adoption agency.

Didn't I see some ads in U.S.A. Today the other day? Or was it The Herald Tribune? I can't recall.
You could always try to sell it at a street corner.

I don't believe you for one second, all you want is to stir people up. Do something useful with your life...

I know its hard to have a kid when you're young mine will be born in July and im only 17 but just re think it. But if you really want to do adoption go to you're health department and they will give you pamplets

Andrea A
The reason why you can't place in ad is because you would get about ten thousand responses. What you do is go to an agency and tell them "I want a family who likes to go camping, who has only one other kid, and a dog," or whatever. Then the agency says alright, here are six families who meet those requirements. You can also search online anonymously and put in whatever search criteria you want at itsaboutlove.org

grapesgum gave you some excellent websites, please read them.

As it is plainly obvious by the 2 overt solicitations for your baby (anyone who solicits for a baby online should be completely ashamed of themselves) you will likely get a lot of emails and wah wah please pick us. Picking aparents online is just incredibly dangerous. If after knowing all the options, you still want to relinquish, please do it in a way that won't endanger yourself or your baby.

Please look up adoption attorneys in the yellow pages and go talk to one. This is not something to do without the proper guidance. A good adoption attorney can advise you of the proper way to do it and what the laws are in your area. You wouldn't want to do something illegal or be taken advantage of. You also wouldn't want to make a wrong decision for your baby because you didn't know all your rights and such.

Best wishes.

If you've decided to place your child for adoption, then speak with an adoption agency or adoption attorney. Placing an ad online is not safe or wise.

go to your local health department...they can help you with that.

you're not going to want to do it online, it can get you into some trouble (such as possibly being conned into giving your baby up into the blackmarket adopting, which will cheat everyone out of money, the baby out of the best possible home...and so on)

currently the baby is yours, so you have to take care of it until all the paper work is done. it's life is in your hands so make the right choices.

i applaud you for being able to recognize that you would be unable to care for it, therefore you give it up. that's better than neglecting or abusing a child.

You don't advertise the baby. instead you find people advertising that they want a baby - "waiting families", or you find an agency to help you match with prospective parents. You can try www.parentprofiles.com, or google "adoption waiting families" or check for adoption agencies in your area.

sizesmith
Make sure that any person you speak to has a home study done legally, including criminal and background checks.

You have rights to meet the parents, see their home, and to choose someone you think would be suitable to raise this child.

Contact me please, as I have everything in place to adopt.
