OH brother.. will you guys ever quit with putting words in other people's mouths with your snitty sarcasm???

IMO... in most cases a crappy mom would be a crappy mom, to either biological or adoptive children.. a good mom would be a good mom to either biological children or adoptive children.

But , of OF COURSE.... we Paps/APs must think that all biological moms are crappy, right??? Even if we had the best mother in the whole world who, on a COMPLETELY UNRELATED note, just so happened to be our biological mother.

BTW: This rant is not as much directed toward the OP as it is directed toward a couple of the answers.

You guys make me wanna puke sometimes..

I believe that, just because a surrender was necessary doesn't even mean the mom would've been a "crappy" mom. It just meant that the time wasn't right, she didn't have the right support, she wanted her child to have more than she could offer it.

My mother is a stepmother, biological mother and adoptive mother. She is never a crappy mom, a wonderful mom, so my answer would be no.

Crater
My mother is both, and she is never a crappy parent.
So no.

Of course, silly girl! But, you're only crappy when you're dealing with your biological children.

It depends on how you treat your kids.
What do they think?
That's what really matters.
And p.s.
The fact that you feel the need to ask strangers on yahoo answers about your parenting skills speaks volumes already.

Of course!
As an adoptive mom you’ll be a greedy, self-absorbed, manipulative witch.
But with your natural kids you’ll be their "entire world," genuinely supportive and nurturing.
You'll be like Dr. Jekyll and Ms. Adoption!

If you have a biological child and an adopter then maybe you are crappy times 2.

lewisleanda
yup, but then that would mean your only a good parent half the time as well

Sophie
I'm assuming that the "biological" mom is the crappy one, right? Yep, you'll be crappy half the time. Sorry, but you asked.

If the adopted child was abducted by the government from parents unable to defend themselves, then you are truly a low life scumbag whose every breath of god's free air is a crime against humanity, and there is a special place in hell for you.

THERE'S NO WAY YOU CAN BE BOTH, WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT???
