If an adoption came down to a Gay couple or the child not being adopted at all which is right in your eyes?

Well this is more of a question then a rant but I believe whatever is best for the child should occur. Some straight people are terrible adoptive parents. I think it is wrong for single people to have a hard time adopting. That really makes me angry. So in response to your question, as long as the people are responsible, loving, don't abuse the child and do what is best for him then there is no reason that the child should not be adopted by the prospects, gay, straight or whatever else. The only stiupulation I would have on that is that eldery or sick single people shouldn't be able to adopt because they might not be around to raise the child.

i do too...i think it should be best for the child..and personally i think any couple thinking adoption should go thru some classes...and personally i think all parents adoptive or not should go thru some but thats another story...there are some people who should be parents and some who def shouldnt be doesnt matter if you are gay or straight....it still happens

I don't understand why the gay thing is even a problem! I think it is best to put the child in a loving home. I am sure the that parents understand that the being gay means that they have some explaining to do. But I am also sure that they will do that explaination in a loving sensitive way.

But adoption isn't about gay rights--it's about what's best for the CHILD.

I love gays all day long--but I think adoption should be like a hefty insurance policy--kids should GET what they lost--a mother and a father.

Just like most kids would PREFER to be raised by their bio parents--most would prefer to have a MOTHER and FATHER, too.

of course, every child deserves a loving supportive family, not only to grow up in but to fall back on when their adult life gets difficult. doesnt matter what the make up is, as long as there is love and support!

I believe that gay people, just like straight people, should get to experience having children. There is nothing wrong with gays or gay couples adopting children. They will have to go through the same training, get the same background checks, etc.

Gay couple all the way. I placed my son with a gay couple. They are the greatest parents I have ever seen. I would never have it any other way.

I agree with you 100%. Loving and caring parents should be able to adopt, gay or not. It's ashame it's such an issue for some people still.

Yea, better to be adopted into gay family than no family at all. This as well as many other topics will be an issue for a long time to come, unfortunantly.

I personally dont agree with " gay" people in a couple ways...but at the same time I have many frinds that are and see absolutely nothing wrong with a couple of any orientation being able to have a child...I hope that people can accept it more sooner than later because thats a really silly reason to let a child grow up alone. I actually believe that "gay"(their really should be a different word) parents are better than a lot of the parents out there. You dont hear everyone talking down on the parents that go out and party all the time and leave their kid with whomever they can. So I think its just people being ignorant. Anyone can have a child live with them but not everyone can be a good parent,I think thats what they need to be looking at rather than a persons choice in partner.

Well with legaly married couples having to go to other countries to adopt I would have to say no to allowing a gay
couple to adopt. A family should consist of a man and a
woman that is what nature intented, to chose a gay life style
is none of my business but when it comes to marriage and
adoption I believe marriage and having babies is something
that is between men and women only.
