then you know how you can look up birth records and stuff online? doesnt that mean if its a closed adoption it wont be online? im looking for my mothers twin sister whom was adopted out when she was only 6 weeks old. ive managed to find my mothers birth certificate but am having trouble finding her twin sisters. i thought maybe if i found that i could find her? could it be they gave her another name and thats why i cant fine her birth certificate? thanks

Yes my mother does want to find her sister. She is older and her mother just recently died but before she did her mother told her that she had a twin sister that was adopted! my mom is so suprised but is now looking for her sister.

Before any search angels can help they need to know a few things:
What state (or country) was she born in, what state (or country) was she adopted in. Different governments have different laws. Very few governments have online indexes of births. Where are you finding your mom's birth certificate online?
What year was this? Angels will need the exact date of birth but I wouldn't post it here.

Closed adoption is talking about the paperwork at the clerk's office in the county/state where the adoption was filed.
Since you have found your mom's, do you know if the same mother gave birth to both of them, or is it possible that one adoptive couple received two children of the same age, and raised them as twins. Although I don't like that, people do this. |
