If you had to be adopted by a star, who would you choose and why?
Find answers to your legal question.

If you had to be adopted by a star, who would you choose and why?

My choices:

Sally Fields (she is so motherly)
Officer AnneMarie Lucas of Animal Cops (toughass and gentle)
Robin Williams (totally creative and insane!)

Dan Marino.

Because he's Dan Marino.

ETA: Definitely not Michael Jackson

When I was younger I wanted Captain Kangaroo to be my Dad. He was so fun and always laughing.

I think I am showing my age since many have no idea who he is!!!

Hi LT!

Great Question!

As a child.....bionic woman ~ Lindsay Wagner! She was kicka$$ and gentle.

As an adult.....the writer ~ Maya Angelou! Her voice is so comforting and she has such a sweet and gentle soul. If i could have a mother hold and comfort me, she is who i'd pick:)

Some of us can only imagine what it is like to have loving parents, eh? Aw well, at least you and i have each other right? We can day dream together!

Such a fun question!

Alan Alda -- well, really it would be Hawkeye. I had such a crush on him. Okay, probably a bad reason to pick an adoptive parent, huh? But he had so much heart and so much humor at the same time. From all I've heard Alan Alda is a cool person also. And private, that would be important, I'd think.

Or Mike Farrell for the same reasons.

Robin Williams would be very fun, but maybe a bit tiring?

Maybe Michael Learned, aka Ma Walton? Again, this is really the character, not the person.

And on that theme, Lindsay Wagner, totally. My sister had a big crush on her.

Or Maya Angelou, uh huh!

For a real person, right now I'd choose Maya Soetoro-Ng. That way I'd get to live in Hawaii, have really cool, funny parents (I saw her speak) -- and Barack Obama for an uncle! I wouldn't want him for a dad, growing up in the White House would be really hard, but for a uncle? Totally!

ETA: Botz, oh! I'd forgotten all about Tyne Daly! What a great mother figure.

The brain
Jodie Foster (because she has a very large IQ)

Charlize Theron, she's hot. (Hey, it's a fantasy question anyway. lol)

In reality, I'd stick with my Mom. She's always been a star in my life for many more reasons then anyone here would care to listen to.

Nurse Autumn Intactivist NFP
Jennifer Garner- She is so down to earth, but kick *** at the same time. She just seems like she would be a very good mom.

When I was young I dreamt Harrison Ford would adopt me. (not often but when I was mad at my parents...I was young I must add) It wasn't actually Harrison Ford but Hans Solo that I wanted to adopt me :) And of course my mom would be Princess Leigh.

I married a Star Wars nut go figure, and thank goodness we adopted older children, and didn't get it in our heads to name our child Skywalker!!

Cute question!

Me being the geek I am, Steven Hawking.

Him and his wife have such a strong relationship, and he's never let anything stand in his way. He recently went on a zero-g flight lol.
He's so dedicated to what he does, yet he's not afraid to admit when he's wrong.

He recently reconciled with his ex-wife, after a brief marriage to his nurse.

Maya Angelou as well, just such an inspirational, wonderful person.

Steven Tyler. He's just so damm cool lol.

Tyne Daly.

She's beautiful (in a motherly way...in my opinion).

She's really, really smart.

She's got a good heart, a tough streak and a big, gooey, tender-hearted soft spot -- that she tries to hide with her "tough streak". LOL.

And, she likes animals...so she'd probably let me have a pet.

Lilac (6 weeks to go!)
Ellen Degeneres because I just love her to death!

sunny
Isaac Mizrahi

Lauren...
My Mother is a very big Star, so id stick with her :)
I Love My Mom haha

Thinking about it, i think id go for...
Kerry Katona cos shes a fantastic mom ! PHAHAHAAH

BLW_KAM
I would chose Katharine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy because of the playful way they interacted, her wit, and his strength.

Not Adopted
No way Heather Leigh, Captain Kangaroo is MINE! And the Dancing Bear will be my nanny.

You can have Mr. Green Jeans.

Rosario Dawson. She seems like a very cool and grounded person who remembers her roots and hasn't had her head turned by all the Hollywood celebrity stuff. She still gives back to her own community, and has done a lot to fight poverty and disease, and to provide support and healthy alternatives to kids who are at risk-- but she does it in a low profile way instead of for her own glory.

I have no way of knowing if she's actually as good as she seems, but based on what I know of her, she'd be my pick. (Aside from the fact that she's not enough older than me to possibly be my parent, she's sibling age for me-- but I assume that doesn't matter for the purposes of the question.)

CP
Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward.

Robin Williams is awesome... but he's a total perv. lol

I'd say probably someone down to earth like Tim McGraw or something... someone you don't hear about alot you know... cause I wouldn't want to be all over the news all the time..

or Sean Connery because he rocks my socks off... even if he is old.

Terry Irwin- Go the crocodile hunters Mrs..

I just have to shave off a few years....

what did Terry do to anyone to deserve thumbs down... She's a genuine person.

Good question, but I would have to go with Patti Labelle she seems so loving and motherly. And I would go with Will Smith for my daddy, only because he seems like he would be the coolest dad.

Wayne Brady... he seems down to earth and funny. :-)

I like your Sally Field answer, and people tell me I look like her circa her Flying Nun days, but I'd probably go with Brad and Angelina. Or Ina Garten, whom I adore.

The girl from "samantha who?" She is awesome . No scratch that, I'd rather marry her. :)
I'll say Brad and Angelina if I could be an only child.
