No only the agencies are allowed to line their pockets off the backs of the babes . . . |

It is unethical and illegal. This is called baby brokering. While many feel this exists in other ways, and why can't the mothers profit, it is still the buying and selling of human bodies. Geez, lots of unhealthy people might sell their children fom 10,000.$ |

Legally absolutely WRONG, not to mention morally way out of control. A birth mother can ask for support in medical costs associated with her pregnancy, and things such as rent, utilities, food, etc. |

That is unethical...however, the agencies do it....why are they allowed to get away with it?

No..nor is it legal....however if money is going to be exchange it should go directly to the natural mother and no one else.
Money is a form of coercion or manipulation so money should be completely taken out of adoption. |

if they took the money, then it would be "child trafficking". you aren't allowed to sell your children. |

Its a form of coercion.

Nope can't have that. |

no it isn't ethical at all. And no she shouldnt be allowed to ask for it eithe.
Why not? Because then it really would be like APs were buying a child, rather then just paying legal fees to a lawyer and an agency. |

Good lord no! Accepting money makes it a true transaction and everyone knows a transaction is a sale... selling babies is even worse than abandoning them. |

Gee, let's stop bashing natural mothers... here. They can accept money for certain expenses- LEGALLY. whether you like it or not. I feel it is ethical to pay for legal, medical and other health-related expenses like prenatal vitamins and gas to and from the doctors office... etc. |

Yes, unethical and illegal. I honestly don't think that a birth mother should get her medical care paid for either, because that is something that someone really should take care of since they are the one who got pregnant in the first place. There are so many agencies to help with this. Money should play no part in this at all! |

The a p's have already paid with their souls. Whats a little extra cash?
I think it should be illegal. I also think it should be illegal for these baby factory adoption agencies to charge all that money for a baby. If all the ap's had to pay was a small court fee, adoptions would go waaaayyyyy down, because the agencies would be broke. |

I don't think it should be legal or illegal for her to ask for a large cash payment from the parents who adopt her child, however I don't think it is ethically right for money to have to go towards anything but lawyers fees, court costs and fees, and her medical bills. If the adoptive parents want to offer her a monetary gift that should be within their discretion. |

no because if she didn't want the baby she should have been careful not to get pregnant. the adoptive parents are doing her a favour by taking in her unwanted child. |
