I'm not sure if I'm getting this right, but I think you're saying that you were adopted, and then had a child who was removed from your care. Then the state placed your son with your biological mother, because they try to place children with a relative first, and then your parental rights were terminated w/out your knowlege- is that right?

First off, if you were adopted, then legaly, your bio-mother is not considered a relative, and has no more legal right to custody of your son then any other person. Usually they will allow family to take custody even if they don't have a foster parent lisence, and relatives have first choice of whether they want to adopt the child or not- however, legally she should not have this right, but your adoptive parents would.

You say that she is abusive, did she loose custody of you because of that? If so, she should never have had a child placed with her in the first place. You need to speak with a lawyer right away, this definetly doesn't sound right.

To give YOUR son to YOUR mother when YOU were adopted? I'm not disbelieving you, just trying to follow along and get the gist of the problem.

I suggest you contact a lawyer and explain the situation along with what ever proof you have.

i dont think they can terminate your rights without your knowledge. Someones lying to you, and you need to call a lawyer.

In Ontario they can terminate your rights with out your knowledge if you do not show up to court when Crown Ward No Access adjudication is taking place. This happened to my kids father months before their mom went to court. He simply did not show up so the judge discounted him.
However, I believe that they have to serve you with the papers before the court date to make sure you know that it is happening first. You may want to get in contact with the adoption social worker for your sons case and find out the events that occurred before hand.

This shouldn’t be done and frankly I don’t see how they would give your son to your biological mother when you were adopted you be adopting means your biomom is not legally related to you. If the child was removed from your home they would have placed the child with a legal relative i.e. someone in the family that adopted you. I would contact a lawyer quickly there is something fishy going on here.

You say she is abusive first priority should be to get your son out of this environment that he was put in. Ask someone in your family if they can become his foster parents until you get things worked out.
