I adopted my son through foster care. I keep in contact with his case worker even though we are done with all that. I check on his bio mom(through the case worker) here and there. I know it may sound insane to some of you but I kind of worry about her even though she was extremely neglectful to my son. Anyway... She has her last child in foster care and the whole thing is almost done for her. She is finally losing her last child! I have been wanting to write her for a long time. I just wanted to tell her that her (and mine) son is loved unconditionally and that we'll always protect and care for him. I know she has not come to her senses (drug abuser) but I know that one day she will and that day she'll regret her actions and I know she'll resent not having him. I am not mentioning names or anything. I don't want to sound judgmental. But every time I start writing, I start crying and I don't know what to say... Can you guys help me? I just want her to know he is loved and that if he chooses to look for her in the future he will have our support.
Additional Details
After her parental rights are terminated for her last child in foster care I will loose any chance I have to send her this letter. I will send it through the case worker! None of our names will be mentioned.
At first I hated her for what she done to my son. But as time went by and I got to fall in love with him I could stop thinking that she would regret not having him one day, then I started feeling bad for her....
