I will reserve my judgement for after I see her actually spending time with the child once all of the initial hype wears off. I don't have a problem with celebrities adopting. I do have a problem with them adopting for the purpose of a photo op or publicity. If they truly want to give a child a better life, then they are certainly equipped to do so. But, it almost always requires a lifestyle change that they are less than willing to make.
For now...I will give her the benefit of the doubt, until she she gives us evidence that she is only doing it for the publicity. |

I am really torn on this subject.
I have read so many articles saying that the child's father never meant for him to be adopted and did not understand what he was agreeing to or signing.
If that is true then I think Madonna done an awful thing. I'm sure there were many children who were truly orphans and she could have adopted one of those without taking a child who already had a family.
On the other side, even though it seems she was given very special treatment maybe it will open the way for more adoption so more children who really need a home will find one.
I do not understand how she could not have been in that courtroom on such a special day though?? I mean the lady jets all over the world with bodyguards but she couldn't show up to her son's own adoption hearing? |

The child will have a great life and not go hungry as many in Malawi do.
I admire Madonna for what she has done and also the other celebrities and "ordinary" people who have adopted children. |

Alot of respect for the woman - she has done an amazing thing! As she said she could have adopted a child from the UK but they are not likely to die in care. |
