I think the court made the right decision.
I hope that if Madonna decides to continue pursuing parenting another child through adoption, she will choose a child who is actually without living family who want him/her, and adopt from either a country where international adoption is more accepted, or from her own country so the child won't be put through displacement and culture shock.
This adoption situation seemed like an ethically problematic one, to say the least, and there are plenty of children needing homes in this world, without taking one from an unwilling family and a reluctant country. |

Failed adoptions happen everyday. I am sure that Madonna is heartbroken, just like anyone else would be, but that just happens. |

Adopting black children out of Africa seems more like a fad in Hollywood right now rather than celebrities genuinely caring about the kids. Madonna promised the father of her first adopted child that there would be regular contact, and she lied. The child and father's first contact was when she went back to Malawi to try to bring another one home. I'm not surprised the Malawian government wouldn't let her take another child when she failed in her promise to keep the first child in contact with his father. |

Not bothered. They can't change their law just because she's a celebrity. She has nannies for all her kids anyway, why bother getting another that she's not even going to look after? |
