Of course birth mothers wonder about the child they have given up.I was just 14 when I gave my daughter up for adoption and not one day has passed where I haven't thought about her and have always wanted to meet her but I know that she doesn't want to meet me but always have the hope that she will, one day, change her mind in this regard.I am always grateful that I have my two children and their children with me but always feel that there is a part of my family missing because my first daughter is not here as well.I am lucky that two of the four children I have had are here and that one is alive elsewhere because I have also had a stillborn son who I will never get the chance to know.I hope that you do get the chance to know your natural mother and that things work out for you because I know the heartache of loss and would not wish this on anyone.Just for the record I am also adopted and have been unable to find anything out about my mother except her name and this is with very extensive searching.Good luck to you!

I am *always* curious about where my son is and what he is doing. Sure I get pictures twice a year, but that's just not the same thing as actual direct contact. =o)

Most definitely! I would give the world to meet my son.

I think you should try to find her.

My mother searched from the day I turned 18. Other mothers I have been in contact with over the years also have searched, and some don't want to interfere in their children's lives, and they sit at home and pray their children are searching.

Search. Do it for yourself, and the children you will have some day. Mothers never forget their children.

Also, make it easy for your mother to find you, if she is searching. Register with every free search engine you can find.

I always wondered those things about my bdaughter. I was afraid she might find me and ask me why her. So for a long time I didn't look, I was afraid of her and what people would think about me when they found out. I finally decided to look and I did find her, she was a beautiful woman and mom, she was 30. When my friends found out about her, they treated me with warmth and compassion, once they got over the shock, they were genuinely happy for me. Not one person, treated me badly. We do not have a mother/daughter relationship but we are friends.

i would like to know if my birth mother wants to see me. but all i can think is "if i had to put my child up for adoption i would look for him everyday after he turned 18" i couldnt imagine having to do that. but im almost positive she worries about you and wonders how you are. maybe she doesnt know how to start looking

My cousin's mother had a child that she gave up for adoption when she was 15. She was made to give that baby up. Now, she constantly wonders where the child is, how it's doing... if he thinks of her, etc. She's not allowed to legally find him, but the child can find her when he's 18. I don't know. I do know it hurts both sides, but then again, for some it doesn't. It happens for a reason, whether or not that reason seems legit.

Of course. I think about my placed child every day. Then again I keep in touch with him so I don't have to wonder. But If I couldn't have kept in touch I would definitely be wondering! I'm sure your birth mom thinks about you and misses you.

My sister gave her baby up when she was 17 years old in Hattisburg, MS She has wanted to find her son all of her life. She became pregnant in Charlotte, NC in 1975, I think, we don't even know the correct birthdate, she was sent to a Home for Unwed Mothers, because our parents died one year a part and our older brothers and sisters sent her there.

I'm absolutely positive that your mom thinks about you all the time and wonders how you are and what you look like. If you want to find her ask your parents and maybe they will help you. Good luck!

Sweetheart, I have been wonderring about my birthson(Nathan) in August will be 18yrs. I look at my daughter and three boys plus his pics everyday and think about what he might look like now. I hope everyday that he will want to get to know us.I don't expect him to love us like he would his family. His other parents (tom and gail) sent my daughter one of his teddy bears when she was born.I'm hoping he might wanna know us now.

Of course!! You HAVE ALL right to want to know your Mother!!! You want to know many things. I never knew my father all my life and finnally when i got in my ealry 20's i looked him up. I did know his first and last name and state i thought he was in. If you dont know these things. You should check out your birth satistics department. They should have her fist, last name and city and state where she was born. Then go to Intellius.com and put in her first and last name and it will come up. And you will know if its her on the age. Its a great site. I found my dad on it

A mutual friend introduced my son's first mom and I. She always asks the friend for pictures, what he's doing, and recently, I posted some pictures on myspace so she can view photos of him anytime.

She is welcome here, as long as she is drug free, however, she doesn't ever come. We were hoping she'd see him so he didn't feel abandoned later on. She has moved, and her cell number has been changed, so I don't have a way to contact her anymore, but I know she views his pictures, and updates. I just pray she's alright.
