Find answers to your legal question.

Mum always says bad things about my foster care situation.?

When we are arguing for something she always says stuff like
1. Oh well, you are so lucky you can just gET your things and leave.
2. Stop doing that you look so much like your mum(birth one she means)
3. I think I know the reason we 2 dont go well at all.
4. I hope it was not a mistake.
HELP, DOES SHE LOVE ME? OR WISHES I STAYED WITH BIO MUM

IN another question...didn't you say you were adopted or being adopted? Um, I would think if this was going on, you would chose otherwise.......

What is going on?

Sophie
1. She should NOT be speaking to you like that.
2. Report her to your social worker.
3. I'm sorry, she doesn't deserve you as a daughter.
4. Be strong and trust your instincts.
5. It is NOT your fault one bit, that you got stinky foster parents!

I agree, you need to tell your worker who placed you there. My friends kids were placed with a family member and they suffered way more verbal abuse there than they ever did living at home. Sounds like she's not really ready to be a foster parent and it's sad to see you caught in the middle of it. Again, it is nothing you did, don't let her continue this, please talk to your case worker on your next visit or maybe mention it to the counselor at your school.

It is very difficult and hard to comprehend when the parenting one receives is not parental. Kids grow up needing very badly to believe and feel that their parents are wise, good, and all-knowing. It is a shock to learn that they are not necessarily any of those things. What you need to understand is that IT'S NOT YOU!! The problem is not that you are not good enough, nor smart enough, nor pretty enough to merit the wonderful care you deserve. The problem really is that your mum is "bent" and, much as she'd like to be nurturing, re-enforcing, supportive, caring and all those things a good mother should be, she can't. She can't do those things because . . . Well, we don't know exactly why.
You need to know that you are lovable and a good and worthwhile person even though your mum can't tell you that nor demonstrate it.

I think that you definitely need to report this. You don't want to stay there if she's talking to you like that do you? Is your mom working her plan? Will you be going home soon? If so, they might leave you there a little longer but tell her to cut it out, but if you are going to be in foster care for a long time, they need to place you somewhere else. Best of luck, okay? Email me if you need to talk.

I am not in any position to say if she loves you; even some parents who love their children say hurtful things, so it doesn't necessarily mean she doesn't.

BUT... it's still not alright for her to talk like that to you, whether she loves you or not. She obviously has some issues to work through in this situation, and it's not right or fair for her to take it out on you. Words like this are going to take an emotional toll on you if this continues, if that hasn't happened already.

I think you should talk to your social worker about what's going on. Your foster mum is probably going to need some counseling and/or some parenting classes if she wants to continue being a foster parent. What she's doing has a lot of potential to be damaging, and it shouldn't just continue.

Some people say things they do not mean (do not feel with their heart, or do not agree with in their minds).

I hope she's this kind, that just speaks what she doesn't truly support.

Because somehow, it would be much better than knowing that she actually believes in all what she's saying... that way, it would actually hurt.
