I understand that people may have thought I was looking to adopt,
but its my aunt who is and has been trying to for a very long time now
i would like some information of any adoption agency's in michigan that don't take very long or somebody you might know who is looking at putting there child up for adoption
please help me help her im begging you

It really depends on the kind of adoption your aunt is interested in... If she is only wanting to adopt a newborn then she may wait a very long time for a mother to select her.... If she is interested in adopting a child from Foster Care then it could take some time for a match to be made...
There really isn't much anyone can do to speed things up especially from outside of the situation. Your Aunt should already be connected with an Agency or DHS and have a completed home study if she is waiting... If she has a completed home study she may want to consider submitting it with AdoptUsKids.org where she may find waiting child from Any State....
There are parents who wait years for a child to be matched. In my experience even when adopting a child from Foster Care the average time from start to placement is about 2 years.... and that is for children who are Waiting. In rare cases, do people find it fast to adopt.
My personal feelings is that it should take a long time from start to finish in order to be matched with a child parenting is a very long job and the pain of waiting is nothing compared to the years of parenting. I have known far too many who were interested but, lost interest when it took "too long" that usually leaves me wondering about how that parent would do with how long it takes to raise a child?
It is a well known fact of the process that Waiting is the hardest part... but, most people forget how long the wait was once they are matched and parenting.... |

Perhaps your aunt is being to picky. There are children who need homes right now.

I live in Michigan! If you look in the newspaper, the should have a classifieds section and look through it and you might find adoption centers [I found quite a few awhile back] or you can look for a phone # in the phone book. |
