not i am not a kid i am a 16 year old teen and the two kids she adopted lived with us along time. know one is 13 and the other 16 and there no good they have turned against us they have already tried to kill me.

Lyzzy
maybe you should ask a lawyer...that's the only answer...

Kazi
Does your mommy know you are up past midnight?

Your brains must be leaking.

jigfam
Good grief, they are children, not pets to be returned to the pound if you get tired of them. If your mother legally adopted then she is their mother.

ruby
You can not adopt a child and return them. They are not merchandise. They are now your siblings so learn to love them.

No there is no way, that's ridiculous. why would you adopt a kid and then want to return them? that's horrible to do to a child..

return them?!?!

people arent objects you purchase at a store!

they're living, breathing things, and your mother adopted them. she needs to take care of them.

!zzy
why the **** would she want to return them???? Kids arn't some item you can just give back! God, I hope they take them back so they don't have to deal with your mom!

Heather B
They are part of the so-called and much celebrated 'Forever Family' If they go, you go too.

Byeeee. Have fun in the foster care system with your two siblings.

If she has adopted the children then yes she is legally their mother and she can't return them

July 2009 Bride
no there is no way she can return them... she adopted them if she didn't want to take on that responsibility then why did she adopt them?

TROLL!

Rye
That's messed up. you don't just "return" kids. people are not objects. The moment she decided to adopt kids, she made a full commitment. I say, she should do the responsible thing and proceed as she intended to.

Please please tell me you are joking. There are a lot of people here, natural parents, hopeful adoptive parents, adoptive parents, adoptees, foster children who wanted to be adopted but weren't, that you will be hurting or angering. I don't know which is worse if you are joking, or if you aren't!

roar
hahaha u cant return a kid just because u adopted them! theyre hers now and now they're her responsibility. tell her to grow the f up.

R
that would be like trying to retun you
They may have issues around their adoption or just issues with being a teen
They need help not to be rejected

gees you're supposed to think carefully before making such a decision.

The kids must feel great knowing that their birth mother AND their adoptive mother doesn't want them

The Big Helper
Basically as you said "like if she was their real mother." Your mother couldn't return you to the hospital if she wanted to because she made the decision to have, nurture, and take care of you. She now must do the same for the kids that she adopted. Adoption should be taken very seriously; if you seriously thought this out you wouldn't have been in this predicament.

AdoreHim
If your adopted siblings has actually tried to kill you, I would pray that your mom would have reported them to the authorities.

only if she can return you too.. when you become some ones parent you are their parent for life. NO give backs..

r s
well, it would be shitty to just return them...

if they need treatment help, there is a long process that starts by calling your social services and getting treated like crap yourself..

and oddly they are just as much her children as you are, would you like it if she just gave you back?

she can press charges against the one who tried to kill you

they are her kids and she should learn to control them instead of get rid of them
she is their mom and she should treat them accordingly

and you should be acting as a sister to them both of you sit down and talk to them about the issues instead of just trying to get rid of them

what would she do if you got out of control get rid of you??

emilie
rather than trying to 'return them' why dont you get the police involved, or get councilling. they've been part of the family as long as you have. they cant just be kicked out because they have problems... and how exactly did they try and kill you?

that's sad but I don't think she can return them.

She can discuss with a lawyer that she needs to make them a ward of the court but she might have to prove they tried to kill you.

Since she's had them for years, she can't just "unadopt" them, but if they are socially amoral, she may be able to make them a ward of the court. You have a 1 year probationary period in every adoption, and that's when adopted children can be returned. At the end of the probationary period, there's a court hearing where both parents and child have the opportunity to terminate the adoption. I was 10 when adopted; I was asked if I wished to terminate the adoption for make it final. I chose to make it final. After that, it could not be undone.

Your mom should also attend Tough Love meetings and learn how to deal with these children. If they really tried to kill you, she should have reported them to the police for that event. If she didn't, then she was very foolish.

You cant return a child.

Why would she adopt them if she didn't want them. Adopting a child makes it so that in every aspect of the law, they are her natural child. She is responsible for any need they have and anything they require. If the adoption agency felt that she was a qualified mother and that her family was ready for her to have them, then the state is content with that.

If she feels like there is no way to keep them, then she can file with the adoption agency to put them up for adoption again. She would need a valid reason, and be able to prove that the valid reason 1- did not happen until after the adoption and 2- is going to prevent her from being able to offer a safe and reliable home for the children.

Putting children up for adoption after they have already been adopted can have a sever emotional impact on the child. They can feel like they are not wanted, and they can even become depressed. It is cruel to accept a child into a home only to turn them out.

why does she want to return them? If the adoption is final I hope they can not be returned. What a cruel cruel act. Unless some medical condition was hidden from you I do not think it would be okay. I really feel for the kids. of course I do not know the situation but I am appalled at the idea.

Shaun
becos your mom luvs them so much that she mistakes them for her kids

why don't you try to ask another parent to adopt this child if you don't want to adopt the child anymore.

That one Guy
you mean like she put them up for adoption and then wants them back?
