My sister and her boyfriend wants to adopt me. My mom can take care of me and I am just fine but we are really close and all of us think I would be happier what should I tell my mom and how do I get it done?

my mom will probaly be okay with it and my sister is more than my sister but maybe i should just move in with her.

you obviously have no clue as to what it takes to adopt someone, even a sister. As the others have said, IF your Mom agrees, just live with your sister and have Mom give her guardianship. |

I moved in with an aunt when I was younger, and there is a middle ground you might want to look at. Have your mother give your sister either legal guardianship or power of attorney so she can make legal decisions for you. That was there's no severing of parental rights or anything- you just live with your sister. It's easy, cheap, and no one has to get hurt. |

Just move in with your sister. And get your mom to draw up legal guardianship papers with a lawyer. That way, your mom, who sounds like a good mother to me, doesn't lose her parental rights to you, and you don't lose your identity and history. |
