I agree with Dacia, look into foster care adoptions. There are so many children that need loving families and so few families that want to adopt this way. It is free or inexpensive. I am a foster parent and would have adopted any of the children I fostered. Also, if you foster first, you will already know the children and know how you will get along as a family. Although you won't know for sure that you will get a newborn through foster care, there is a chance and even if you don't, that doesn't mean you can't love a child that is a little older. If you can't afford to adopt then you really can't afford a child. If you want a child, SAVE money and adopt. Adoption can cost $5000 to $20,000. About what you pay for a car. Take out a loan. I mean, it is a human being. Your future children are worth whatever self discipline and work and effort you as a parent put into getting them. In nine years you could have SAVED $21,000 in an account if you had saved $200/month-and that is assuming you didn't make any return on your investment- and a child costs more than 200 dollars a month to raise.
Out of a million families wanting to adopt, why would someone choose you, who can't save money- instead of a family who made the same income and saved the amount of money required? I mean, yes, this is the hard reality, but being a parent has MANY harsh realities, like kids need financial stability.
You can do it, just do it the right way.
If I had a baby to give up for adoption, I would not go to the lowest bidder. I would choose a family that had saved money, had lone the legal footwork and was prepared to give the baby the best opportunity in life. Even mothers who give up their children want the BEST for their children. They could have chosen abortion...but they didn't. |

You do realize you have to pay for the cost of hospitalization and legal fees. Good luck in finding a birth mom who doesn't require those. |
