Photo-journalistic books about adoption ?

I am looking for photo-journalistic books about first/bio/original parents and/or adult adoptees or reunion. I cannot seem to find any and was wondering if any one knows of any.

(I am NOT looking for books about adopting a child - there are tons of those - please don't post those.)

Also, I was wondering if you are and adoptee or first parent, would you ever contribute or allow yourself to be included in a book like this? I would like to see one done if there are not already books of this nature out there, but I wonder if the reason there may not exist is due to the lack of willing participants. I am undecided myself. (I am a F/N/B/OM if anybody is wondering.)

I am a photographer and I am thinking that if I can find a book of this sort, maybe I should make one - I'd love suggestions for what it should include.

I Love A Child With Autism!!!

My daughter S's first mother is in the process of writing her memoirs on adoption. It is totally from her perspective. We offered to give her the money to put it into publication, but much to our surprise..snort...she can not find anyone interested in it. Go figure!!! What she has shared with me is very good, she is an extremely open person and tells no tales. I think it would be a great read for not only members of the "triad", but for anyone interested in humanity. Publishers have told her they cannot find a target audience, but I think its more like they are scared to death to rock the boat!

Your idea of a photo journal sounds like a great idea, I'm sure if you keep looking you'll find enough people to participate.

If my kids were old enough (teens) and wanted to participate in a book like that with their first mum. I wouldn't have a problem with it.

I love a child with Autism- Tell her to send it to an Australian publisher, we love controversy over here and RL stories from average people.(Not just the rich and famous.) Unlocking secrets is a fave past time especially since all the inquiries into adoption and the 'Stolen Generation.' :) And there are more books being published by first parents telling their stories.
