Newborns aren't readily available. Babies are not puppies and you can't just go order one up.

Thankfully you are way too young to adopt a child, so this won't happen. You have a lot of growing up to do. Of course, you could just get yourself pregnant and than in nine months you would have a newborn, though I am betting you don't want to wait that long right? That is why you want to adopt. Immediate gratification and all that.

Grow up. A lot.

WTF???

Go adopt a baby on the Sim's.

I sure as hell would not have wanted to be taken from my family only to be given to an immature teenager.

tish
try the petstore. oh wait, you have to be 18...

nobody is going to allow you to adopt, sweetheart. focus on being a kid.

No you can not adopt. There isn't a judge in his right mind that will grant you an adoption. Grow up. Your a child.

no, you can't- but apparently you have been trying to have one yourself judging by your questions posted over the past year? yikes, slow it down.

You are still a child yourself. It's a baby, not a toy.

ur too young to "adopt" you cant be a household yet... you need to get an education.. then maybe you can have your own children

Don't be ridiculous - they're not dolls y'know. You can't put them in a cupboard when you get bored.

Sorry but no. You can be adopted. Most adoptions are done by married couples and they have to be able to show that they can financially take care of the child. They have to be able to pass a background check and go through many interviews.

I have not seen an adoption done, unless it involved immediate family, where the parents were younger than 25.

You cannot adopt. You are too young, legally and in every other way. If you were mature you would realize that. You have so much of your life ahead of you to not have it tied down with another life. Parenting is a 24/7 job for the next 20 - 25 years. Yes, that long. You will always be that child's parent as long as the child lives. You will mold her future, her past, and her present. Do you think you have the maturity to do that at 16? You were a child yourself 4 years ago. Wait until you are at least out of college before even considering it. In other words, complete your own life before you start on another one.
Try to get some other activity in your life, other than focusing on children so much, you are obviously very fixated on it. Get one of those dolls that you have to take care of 24/7... and if you can't afford that how will you afford the $800 + PER MONTH that it will cost to raise a child. (PS: they are only babies for a year, then they grow up you know, in 10 - 12 years you might have a juvenile saying " gee I wish I had a baby "

get a dog - your not emotionally mature enough to have an infant. Besides you can't adopt at your age!

No agency is going to allow you to adopt a newborn at only 16 years old. Why is it that you want a child so young? Do you have the means to take car of a child and yourself? I'm not trying to bring you down, I'm just remembering how I was at 16 and there is no way I could have taken care of a baby.

When it comes to parenting, you are a "newborn" in a way!
Do you know the difference between a doll and a newborn?

This is not amusing. Methinks someone is trying to make a point, and a bad one at that.

PLEASE, STUDY HARD AND AFTER A FEW YEARS, THINK OF HAVING YOUR OWN FAMILY AND KIDS.

you can't adopt. It is not legal. You are a child. You do not need to have a baby yet. That would not be fair to you or a baby. I know you don't realize that yet but, it is true. If you want a baby. I suggest baby sitting. Oh another idea is some states have what they call cuddlers. That is people who volunteer to come in and love on and hold babies that have to stay in the hospital for a few days after they are born. That would be a wonderful thing for you to do. Please don't ruin your life by having a baby now though. Good luck.

Love,
Michelle

sorry but you can't. You cannot even get custody or guardianship of a child. A 16 year old cannot even take care of themselves let alone a baby. Sounds like you should babysit, get a job as a mothers helper or at daycare center. Or volunteer at a YMCA , Boys and Girls Club orther youth organization.

u r legally not a major i mean u are below the age of 18 and law does not allow u to adopt now...if u want some one so much try working as a babby sitter until u are of that age,........ and i think u can see from this that i cannot say u can adopt.........

well... there is no adoption agency that will not have prerequisites whether they be financial or a minimum age requirement .. adoption is usually for someone who is more established in there life and already done with all the schooling they wanted to accomplish ...the best thing to do would be to wait a few years then see if this is still what you want

You can't, and even if you could, you shouldn't. Also, at your age, you shouldn't try to have one yourself at all. I know that women have maternal urges at your age, and that they truly believe that's what they want, however, there are so many who end up saying, "I missed my youth", and so many of their kids who end up in foster care, because at that time of their lives, they don't have their education, and it's almost impossible to get when juggling school, work, and a baby. Prepare yourself by getting a good career where you can afford to raise a child on your own. Maybe then, you'd even meet a wonderful man and share the experience with him. I know you're probably thinking that you are mature enough, and know what you're doing, and in 20 years, you'll look back and think, "Wow, that could have been a big mistake,"
