I'm thinking of becoming a foster parent and I want to prepare myself mentally for what might happen. what I want to know is
what is the worst situation you've ever had regarding a foster child?
what are some of the more common problems foster kids have?
what is the one thing you wish someone would've told you when you were first starting out?
I really want to open my home to children who need a safe place. I just want to be prepared so I can do the best job possible when caring for these children.

well, you need to be mentally, physically & emotionally prepared.
you could have a child (or children) one day, and they could go back to their real parents the next day.
you need to be prepared that really naughty children (or child) can get placed with you, and you have to be ready for that. make sure you have a plan incase that does happen,
be very proud of yourself, because you are bettering the life of children that have no choice of where they live,
** but the most important thing is that you most likely WILL fall in love with these children or child, and always they could get taken away at any moment, make sure your prepared for that!
