If you adopted a child internationally would you buy a bracelet for $3 that says I love you in your child's country's language?

No, I would rather tell my child I love them myself--and not run around advertising my child's personal story to share. Why on earth would I--or my child Need a bracelet pointing out how our family is different?
Usually, these are created to help with Fund Raisers and build awareness about issues of importance what would the Funds for these be used for? |

Um as a transracial international adoptee, I would personally constantly fling the bracelets at my parents the way you do with rubber bands.
BOING.
It's a little annoying and offensive to me that someone would make up little rubber bracelets to say "Hey! You don't live in Korea anymore!" or "Hey! You're Asian and your family is White" or "Hey! You lost your mom and your culture, whoo hoo let's party!".
Three dollars on a bracelet is nothing in comparison to my life. How about a bajillion dollars in therapy please? |

With their literally being 10's of thousands of languages and dialects out there I can't see someone stocking enough different bracelets to make this possible but even if they could I wouldn't bother buying something like this. First off, where does the money go? What purpose do they serve? Do I really want another darn rubber band to put around my wrist? Would the saying be spelled correctly or would it be written by the same guy who does the translation for Hillary Clinton?

Those bracelets are really a fad i would not mind seeing the end of. They have just been done to death and honestly not very attractive. I've seen rescue ones, medical causes galore and even get them in my dog food bags. So no I wouldn't buy one if I adopted internationally. Not because I find them offensive but because they just lack originality and are "goofy" looking. |
