I saw the episode last night, I wanted her to keep the baby, but she isn't going to. But I guess it is what's best. But, I'm 15. I'm keeping my baby. But, it was her choice. |

It would be nice if she kept the baby. Not many movies or shows (even the Lifetime movie schlock!) show a realistic point of view of a young mother who kept her baby and lived a somewhat normal life. It can be done, and it would be nice to see that.
I was rather disappointed when Degrassi had their valedictorian character get pregnant and choose to give up the baby. It ended up that after one episode she seemingly forgot the whole incident and went on with her life. |

I think that in her situation she would do just fine. She may not have the most stable family, but it is more stable then most of the pregnant teenagers I have known. It's good that they are promoting adoption though. It was made out to be such a bad thing for many years and finally people are seeing the benefits. There are lots of couples that just can't conceive and giving them the chance to be parents is just the most special gift in the world. |
