Are any of you single foster and/or adoptive parents? Is it hard? Would you adopt or foster by yourself? What's a good age to be a single foster/adoptive mother?

I don't know from personal experience if its difficult or not so I can't answer that part of the question.
But I do plan on adopting as a single woman. I'm sure it will have challenges but I don't think it will be anything to hard to overcome. My mom was a single parent and did just fine. I'll be adopting at 30 or right around there. I think any age is fine for adopting as long as you are legal, financially stable and have support behind you. For me 30 (4 more years) is the plan because of my current job and the path I'm on there.
It may be harder to adopt depending on if you want to go through foster care, private infant adoption or international. |
