I would say that you could look at adoption as another way of renting woman's womb too. Bad argument. I'm on your side with this one, you make a valid point.

People donâ€™t rent children they adopt them. Renting would be like in that movie what was it called Rent a Kid or something. Where people actual renting the kids before they adopted them.

There was an article about over seas India maybe, of woman doing just these carrying the embryo of couples in America. Most seemed to be horrified by it that these woman would do this, despite the fact the baby was not biolgoical theirs. It was the couple who was paying the surrogate mother to use her oven so to speak, to bake their bun.

quite honestly, the coveting of another woman's womb (either through surrogacy or adoption) just doesn't sit well with me. my belief...wait until after birth. if a mother chooses not to parent, then and only then should a child be available for adoption.

regarding surrogacy: the jury is still out on that, for me..

i think you are completely taking what i said out of context. if you're going to quote me i would appreciate the full question this answer was responding to, and my entire response.

and i never said you were against adoption. it's been a long day for me and i tell you this is the last thing i needed to see on here. where in my response did i say you were against adoption? also where was the word renting ? the use of quotations would signify you were directly quoting a person. if it is me you are quoting, i think womb is the only word you got correct and didn't add your own words in.

ETA: i want to apologize to you. i've went back to the question this came up in and found it is NOT me you are quoting, and you are quoting word for word someone else's interpretation of my words. and they are the one that misquoted me. i do not feel you or really anyone on this site is totally agaist adoption and of course that's not what i said, or what you were even asking. it's someone else's scewed interpretation of my words. i now see it wasn't me you were quoting and i sincerely apologize for my misunderstanding.

Its a very sensitive subject. Personally if I had to have someone else carry my child I would not pass on my genes because I wouldn't want to pass on that particular problem to any of my daughters or granddaughters.

Surrogacy is having a child that is partly or totally you and your husband that is brown inside a friend/family member (usually) and is a child that is planned and wanted for.

Adoption is looked at differently by people but I think most of the negativity is people not using protection, getting pregnant and then giving their baby away. The baby was not planned for. I personally haven't seen people against adoption itself but more against how the child came to be. Children without a family deserve to have someone love and raise them.

um no you are not renting someones child in adoption you are providing a parent to one who does not have one able or who chooses to raise them. Renting a womb, well who knows about that but it is kind of icky to me.

I would think that it would be against adoption and in the end this could end really badly becuase if the the person who is holding the child in their womb doesn't want to give the child up, in the end their could be alot of broken hearts!!1
