well in response it shouldnt matter to you how many moms i want or even had. ive only had one adoptive mother and so what if i want another one. nad if you knew what ive gone through with all my mothers then you wouldnt be saying ANYTHING.

Basicly it would be the same as your original adoption. The legal mother (your 1st adoptive mom) would have to sign her rights away and a consent to adopt. Your step mom would have to go to court and tell a judge that she will take on all legal and financial responsibility for you. (you'd probably have to be ther too to agree to it). Your dad would have to sign that he agrees.

You will have to have a lawyer draw up the paperwork. You would have ot pay the lawyer fee, plus whatever the court costs for filing the petition for adoption

you need the person who is your legal mom to sign away her rights before anyone else can adopt you legally.

Yes, you will probably need a lawyer. When I checked into my husband adopting my daughter the cost with court fees was going to be about $1000.00. Your father should be familiar with this as he must have started the process for his other wife to have adopted you. Yes, I believe she would have to sign away her rights. They usually still do a home study and have your stepmom submit letters from people she knows. I know it sounds silly if you've already been living with her, but that's what was going to be done when I checked into it and my husband had lived with my daughter for over 10 years beforehand. Anyways, legally it is good to have the person acting as your mom to have you legally as a daughter. If something were to happen to her (hope not), you'd be entitled to her social security benefits. If something were to happen to your father (hope not again), she would already have custody over you and would not have to go to court at a hard time already and get custody over you then. There are many benefits as long as you're sure this is what you want and what she wants. If something were to happen to your dad, his ex-wife could technically get custody over you. There would at least be a big court battle.

i will answer to the best that i can . You will have to have your previous adoptive mother give all parental rights up for you, you would have to get a lawyer. Seance you have already been adoptive this might not be possible what you would need to talk to a Family Law attorney.

Your previous adoptive mother would have to agree with this. If she signs a paper that is notarized you and your family can file it, get a court date and go through the adoptive process just like you did when you were adopted last time. Are you sure you want to go through with this again? What if your dad gets another divorce? How many 'moms' are you going to go through? You need to think about this. You're just as valuable having a step-mom as you are an adoptive mom, aren't you?
