ok so how long does it take to adopt a kid and what is the prosess? i want my mom to adopt a kid but i dont know if she will so i just wanna know what the proess is and how long it would take. if i cant get her to adopt i might get preg but i dont know

Honey, I was sixteen when I got pregnant with my son and I had him at seventeen. Take it from somebody with a year and a half of experience and probably about your age - it's not worth it. They're cute and fun but it's really better to wait. I am 18 years old with a year and a half old son - I HAVE NO FRIENDS BECAUSE I CAN'T GO PARTY WITH THEM BECAUSE I NEED TO TAKE CARE OF MY KID. What wonderful "friends" I had, right?
My son's father is a lazy deadbeat bum - he just won a hundred grand at McDonald's and he's planning to blow it on drugs. He had a job for about three weeks and didn't spend any money from his checks on our son. At the moment I'm living with one of my parents, relying on them to support my son because I'm constantly cooking, cleaning, and playing with my child - I don't even have the time to LOOK for a job, and filing child support would be pointless because my son's father will never get a job.
And as for you wanting your mom to adopt a child? That's horribly selfish, pushy, and rude. From your grammar and punctuation I can only guess you're about 14, maybe 15. Probably younger. Focus on school, not making your mom adopt a kid or getting pregnant.

First, you need to know it can take quite awhile. Theres a lot of paperwork and legalities to go through.
Second, getting pregnant just because your mom wont adopt is the dumbest thing i've ever heard. Sounds like you just want to play house.
There are people one here with valid questions, go adopt a puppy. |

it takes months and thousands of dollars to adopt. Sounds to me like its you who wants a child, not her. Wrong reason for her to adopt. |

I spoke with someone today who had her last one adopted within two months after getting her in the home and our last one took almost 10 months from initial paperwork to completed adoption. With that having been said, the vast majority of them, even adoptions through foster care, can take quite a bit longer then that. |

Yeah go get pregnant, it's easier and quicker than adopting, and a whole lot cheaper.
And maybe momma will even let you name it.
