I want to adopt a tiger, what do I need in order to do that? I love cats, and I want to at least give a temp.home to one or more. Please help, I live in Greece. Any info is helpful.

I have 2 cats, but I want a tiger too^_^ I love all cats I guess. I'm fully willing to pay for 20-30 lbs of meat for a tiger. I used to have a Great Dane. Room and food for an animal is no problem for me. ^_^ as silly as that sounds.

Leaving aside that this part of Yahoo Answers is about adopting human beings--you do not need a tiger. Many actual (domestic) cats need your help and your love. Please, please, adopt them!
People who love tigers know that they are not pets. I think you should donate to/volunteer to work at the sanctuary nearest you. If you choose to donate, you can sponsor a particular animal and learn about it, perhaps even visit it. But please don't try to make a tiger happy in your own home. It can't be done, and it often leads to tragedy--for the tiger, and also perhaps for you. |

Uhhh like a real tiger?
First off, that seems illegal.
Second, you can take the tiger out of the wild, but you can't take the wild out of the tiger. |

I hope this is not serious; a Tiger is a wild animal and should not be owned as a pet. Instead why not adopt a tiger at your local zoo or wild life facility where you would help pay for the Tigers up keep. Or even donated money to Tiger conservation organization.
Just look at what happed to Roy Horn from Siegfried and roy, he was nearly killed in 2003. And he had raised the Tiger that attacked him, Montecore since he was a cub. |

I agree with the sponsoring a tiger at the Zoo idea. I don't know if you are aware of this but tigers are wild animals (and they will eat your cats). You would need years of special training and a whole lot of land to be qualified to keep a tiger.
I think it might be time to find another dream. |
