To all yo adopted people out there?

I love both sets of parents very much.....why wouldn't I? My first mother didn't willingly relinquish me to adoption, she was forced into it by my grandparents, I don't feel any blame towards my first father, having met my maternal grandparents I can safely say that I wouldn't have wanted to marry into their family either, they were not very nice people in fact my aunt surrendered 7 children to adoption, all at the instigation of my grandparents. You have to wonder at the problems within that home, especially in light of the fact that both my first mum and her younger sister have different fathers, neither of them the man my grandmother was married to for 55 years before he died.............People frequently make the mistake of believing that we hate adoption because of who parents us....its time for a rethink though.... I don't hate my first parents, I certainly don't hate my adoptive parents. I hate adoption because I spent my childhood - and my adult hood so far, struggling with feelings of unworthiness and abandonment, its simple, no matter what the reasons behind relinquishment, bear in mind that most adoptees don't really know why they are relinquished to adoption until they reunite with their first families, being abandoned to the unknown hurts. Adoption does not guarantee a better life than the lives we would have had, only different lives to the one we would have had.

I miss them and love them.

I dont know my biological father.
But my biological mother is a waste of space. She abused me and then thought that saying 'sorry' afters made it better. But then she did it again.

I love my adopted parents though. I am VERY close to them and love them very much. :)

I dont know how I feel yet. My parents(adoptive) are my parents. they have helped me grow and they were there for everything. My biological mom, well I meet her once and she asked me for money. It isnt easy to have such a good life with my adoptive family then go visit my biological mom( I was adopted from Korea) and see her suffering in poverty because I want to help her but I know I cant. Its hard

That is a very easy question to answer. I love and highly respect them. I love and respect my birth mom for loving me enough to carry me to term and place me for adoption, because for whatever reason she could not raise me. Any adoptee that has hatred toward their birth mom does not understand how hard it must have been for them to do what they did.
