Trying to Adopt a Baby With London & German Citzenship?

My husband and i have recently been talking to a birth mom with a 6 month old baby who is trying to adopt her out. We have seen pictures of her and everything and we love her so much already. However my husband is 21 and i will be 20 in January. Does anyone know anything about the Laws for adopting a dual citizenship baby. We are currently stationed in germany with the U.S. Army and are both U.S. Residents.

Oh GAG, you are in love with a picture?

Give me a break.

Yeah I fell in love with a picture once too, but I'm still not married to Corey Haim.

You'll need an attorney first of all.
Secondly, some places have age requirements that you may not meet.
Also, some places require you to be married for 5 years (it varies).

But more than anything, be careful. There are sooo many scams out there. You could be talking to someone who is nabbing photos off the net and trying to get money from you. You have to be very cautious.

Ok firstly you cannot have London citizenship. London is the capital city of England which is part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Do you speak English or Londonish?

Jesus - please at least know the nationality of the baby you are buying - What is it about some people who want to adopt and just think that the world is a giant baby shopping centre.

Secondly - I would be careful doing this - in the UK this would be highly illegal and as at least one of the parents is BRITISH you may have difficulties. I am not sure of the German process but adoption would be regulated.

You clearly have not met the biological parents yet - you may want to do some more research I would start by seeing if this is possible in Germany.

That would be illegal
