US Permanent residents seek advice for international adoption.?

We have green card in USA. That is we are permanent residents but not US citizens yet. How can we do interntional adoption and get baby home immediately? We are told that thers is no way this can be done, but we believe that "Where there is Will there is a Way!".. Thanks a lot for your help..

Although it may seem like an unnecessary expense, I would strongly suggest that you contact an attorney who specializes in such matters. Immigration law is very complex and the immigration system is often uncaring and bureaucratic, and making a minor mistake can cause you to end up in nightmarish situations. Trying to act without a lawyer will most likely cause trouble later on when it is time for you or your child to gain US citizenship.

There's no such thing as "immediately" in international adoption.
The paperwork takes up to 18 months to complete. There's no way to rush the process. |

Actually NO you are wrong, there is no way. You must be a US citizen before an agency will accept you. You cannot speed up adoption without nasty consequences.
What exactly do you think you are doing anyway? It doesn't sound like you care about the children at all, it sounds like your one and only concern is YOU. You can't get a baby home immediately it takes between 2 and 6 years generally. You speed it up, you are doing something illegal.
You sound SELFISH to me. WAIT to be a citizen then go through the proper process, unless you really want to find yourself in a courtroom somewhere. |
