I'm an adoptive mom from China and you should know that as it stands, China has a backlog of over 3 years. If you were to be logged in today, you would likely be waiting 6+ years.
That being said, you should research agencies that facilitae adoptions through China as they will give you all the information about whether or not you qualify. Just a note, do not trust any agency that tells you the wait is 24 months. Sadly some agencies are still using that line to lure unsuspecting PAPs.
A good place to go for support and info is www.chinaadopttalk.com and www.informedadoptions.com. Both of these sites feature APs and PAPs who have been there done that.

Kazi is right, but the wait is less than a year if you are willing to adopt a special needs child. Many of the needs are minor and easily treated or managed. |
