You want to have them market for and hunt down a womb wet infant then the qualification is money to line the facilitators' pockets for their unethical work
You want to give a child in need a home then it will cost you next to zero
psst adoption is supposed to be a social service for the children, so I would recommend the latter. DSS will fill you in on the process. |

Well.
Be abandoned by a crack ho and then be well a baby and then you can get adopted by some wunnnerful adoptive parents who will give you a pony and a pool. You'll never miss your crack ho mom because the kool aid tastes oh so good. |

The only thing that can't be overcome is money, it seems.
Works for Madonna--maybe it can work for you! |

Dear no one can really give you an all-inclusive answer. What type of adoption are you considering? I don't know much but I will try.
If you choose international adoption then it depends on the country. Some say you must be married, some say it's okay to be single. You do have to be within their age range. If you are over 40, well somewhere around there, you will generally have to adopt a child at least over 5. Again I can't help too much because it really depends on so many different things. I believe most countries, if no all, require you to make a certain annual income. And I do know that international adoption is usually the most expensive.
With domestic adoption you could go through and agency or choose private adoption. I would assume each agency has their own set of requirements. I also believe that this route is quite expensive.
Private adoption I wouldn't think would have too many requirements. With this you basically have to please the birth parents. Pehaps they wants some one of a certian ethnic group or a certain religion. They will specify whether or not they want a single parent or married couple. Basically they pick the family, well usually but I guess every case is different. If you go this route you will probably have to hire your own lawyer.
Foster care adoption is the cheapest. I know the older children get some say in who they choose. I have seen girls who did not want a father-they would only accept single women. The child may request that they have an older brother or even a dog. The requirements probably vary by state so if considering this option just google "foster care adoption (your state)".
I believe all adoptions will require a homestudy which you must pay for. Many will require that you take parenting classes. Common sense would say that you would have to have a criminal record free of felonies. Well sweetheart I wish I could have been more help but I tried. Hopefully someone more informed will answer. Regardless I wish you luck.

Typically you have to be married and have a steady income. An income sufficient to afford a baby. And the baby has to have their own room in your house. You have to have your own apartment or house. If you live with relatives in their house then you cant adopt. |
